We are interested in social cognition; cognitive mechanism supporting social interactions. The issue we predominantly focus on is the role of metacognition is social feedback processing. Metacognition refers to the processes that serve monitoring and regulation of cognitive processes. Successful metacognition can help us detect and correct our mistakes, check the reliability of our beliefs, and learn from others. We investigate how metacognition guides us in integrating the information provided by social sources. We are also interested in if evolutionary pressures can create transient changes in our metacognitive sensitivities.

As separate research lines, we have been interested in moral decision making, consumer behavior, and human-robot interactions.
